The Mansion

When the “Greatest Cellist of the 20th Century”, Mstislav “Maestro” Rostropovich bought the property in 1979, he decided he would build an 8,300 square foot mansion that would be a present to his wife, Galina Vishneskaya, soprano singer of the Bolshoi Opera. The mansion was designed with the greatest detail to acoustic perfection and private retreat.

The Mansion offers 4 two room suites with private bathrooms, featuring 2 Master suites with their own fireplaces, formerly belonging to Mstislav Rostropovich and his wife Galina Vishnevskaya respectively. All suites provide the comfort of fine linens and luxuriously comfortable beds. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards can be provided upon request.
